The Beginnings of UNSTUFFED

We are the founders and owners of UNSTUFFED Professional Organizers. We're sisters who started out organizing each other's bedrooms when we were young. Then our Grandma started asking for our help in "clearing her stuff" (which was what organizing was called in the ‘70's). Then our cousins started calling us for help organizing when their children's areas and their own closets were bursting at the seams. Then our friends heard of our organizing skills and "wanted in". What started as helping others feel the freedom of being UNSTUFFED became a calling to start a business to help many. After working with other organizing companies, becoming – NAPO members – and attending NAPO national conferences, we decided to hang our hat on UNSTUFFED. Our clients have included stay at home/self-employed parents, professionals, empty nesters, downsizers, teens and the elderly. Our goal is to help clients eliminate their clutter, get organized, and live more UNSTUFFED lives. We help people create systems and processes so they are able to have order in their home and to stay organized. We are NAPO members - nationally and in the Chicago chapter - and strongly adhere to the NAPO Code of Ethics www.napo.net.

Kassy Helme & Mary-Carol Puntillo

After college Kassy loved working at Crate & Barrel in their stores and in their corporate buying office. Kassy then took on the role of Merchandiser/Marketing Manager in Northwest Indiana. When her oldest child was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes she retired from gainful employment to learn about and manage diabetes. After 15 years in Chicago and around the country with JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) and raising four children, Kassy decided to devote her time to her real passion-organizing! Kassy loves being in the company of her clients wherever in the country they send her. She loves to learn and create new organizing techniques.

Mary-Carol loved working in the hospitality industry (hotel sales) in Baltimore and Chicago. Mary-Carol then moved on to become an Operations Manager and Director of Marketing for a multi-state diversified petroleum and foodservice company. While staying home to raise her three children, she kept busy by volunteering at schools, churches, and other nonprofits. Having been a member of NAPO                                (National Association of Productivity & Organizing Professionals) since

2013, Mary-Carol truly loves organizing and finds great reward in helping others in the organizing process.
